IITA has received a three-year research grant focused on “Enhancing capacity to apply research evidence in policy for youth engagement in agribusiness and rural economic activities in Africa”. This grant, which is funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), seeks to contribute to the development of policies for better engagement of youth in agribusiness and rural economic activities in Africa and has made available 20 research fellowships for 2018.
Awards for Research Grants are up to $10,000 and should cover the following topic areas: Social dynamics, Economic opportunities and youth engagement, Contexts, Rural labor dynamics, Youth migration, Youth and institutions, and Entrepreneurial development.
