This course, supported by the University of Glasgow, the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Programme, and the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme, offers an expert symposium on advances in the immunobiology of parasites, pathogens, pathogenesis, and grant writing. The 2025 edition is set to be held at Sunbird Livingstonia Complex in Malawi from 30th March to 4th April 2025.
This course targets Master’s students in Immunology, PhD students, and early postdocs interested in the interaction between the immune system and pathogens, as well as how this underlies the pathogenesis of a wide range of infectious and non-communicable diseases.
The course is free for participants and includes accommodation, meals and a contribution to student’s travel (up to a maximum of 400 dollars). It is expected that if travel costs are likely to exceed this maximum, then students should apply (to their institution or externally) for any additional support required.
